GARY BROWNSTONE, PRESIDENT & CEO – BA, MBA
Gary’s career as an entrepreneur began in high school and he’s been starting, buying, growing and exiting businesses since, in fields as diverse as foodservice and hospitality, clothing manufacture and importing, and retail. Since the early nineties Gary’s focus has been exclusively on the commercialization of technology and intellectual property. He has owned and operated tech companies in Canada and the U.S. – both private and publicly traded. In particular, Gary has specialized in managing and financing companies through early rapid growth periods and understands firsthand how to overcome the cultural, operational and financial challenges that companies are faced with.
In 2007 Gary became the founding President of The Eureka Project, one of Western Canada’s most successful technology incubators. Since that time Gary has advised and supported over thirty companies in ICT, Clean Tech, Life Sciences and Agriculture and Food Sciences.
Gary has a BA from University of Manitoba and an MBA from Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario.
WANDA SMITH, EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT / OPERATIONS MANAGER
Wanda is an Office Management Professional with a background that includes experience in multiple business sectors including the Ag Industry (Logistics, Marketing, Merchandising, Human Resources & Client Services, Business Process Re-engineering Trainer, Territory Coordinator, Grain Accounting); and Finance (Internal Controls, Project Management, Administration). Wanda is currently working on a Certified Employee Benefits Administrator Designation from the University of Dalhousie. She holds an Agricultural Business Certificate from the University of Saskatchewan and a Diploma in Office Administration. She has also completed several Project Management, Human Resource and Accounting courses over her career.
CARRIE SIMPSON, DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Carrie leads The Eureka Project Business Development sector, bringing over 20 years of experience in direct sales to the team. Specializing in the development of successful B2B Sales Strategies; Carrie understands what it takes to launch a successful entrepreneurial business; as the founder and President of Cold Calls Lead Generation for 13 years she has helped to nurture her clients business growth by achieving top line revenue growth. Successfully creating and executing outbound lead generation campaigns.
DELROY WILLIAMS, CALL CENTRE & INSIDE SALES MANAGER – BA
Delroy is a leader on The Eureka Project Sales team who specializes in sourcing and pre-qualifying prospects for our clients. He also performs other sales support functions to assist clients in developing their sales strategy. Delroy has 25 years of direct and indirect sales and sales management experience, working with Canadian and American companies in a range of sectors including: technology, finance, retail, sports and politics. He has managed a call center sales department with 700 agents, and has helped to create and maintain two internet-based sales oriented companies. Delroy obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba.
